Setting Up For Market at the Foodbank 2013

Match Donation From Auto Association, Dominion Foundation

On December 4, the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers' Association and Dominion Foundation announced at the Cleveland Foodbank that they will donate $75,000 as part of a match campaign.

Legislators and Staff Volunteer at Cleveland Foodbank

Legislators, their staff and others volunteered at the Cleveland Foodbank on Dec. 18. They learned about what the Foodbank does, hunger issues in Northeast Ohio and then got right to work by volunteering.

Walmart Foundation Awards Cleveland Foodbank $100,000 Grant

On Dec. 20, the Walmart Foundation awarded the Cleveland Foodbank with a grant for $100,000 to help fight hunger in Northeast Ohio.

Spitzer Cares Raffles Car With Proceeds Benefiting Foodbank

Spitzer Cares, which is working to raise awareness and funds for local foodbanks, raffled off a 2012 Chevy Cruze on Dec. 21 with more than $41,000 in proceeds benefiting local foodbanks. The raffle was done live on WKYC-TV.

Cleveland Browns Players and Staff Volunteer at Foodbank

About 15 players and a number of Cleveland Browns staff volunteered on Nov. 20 to help the Cleveland Foodbank get ready for Thanksgiving.

Harvest for Hunger 2013 Kickoff a Success

The Harvest for Hunger 2013 campaign was off to a great start on Feb. 13 following a kickoff event at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Help Center Grand Opening

Our Help Center puts callers from the Cleveland Foodbank's six-county service area in touch with Client Help Specialists who can help them apply for SNAP benefits (commonly known as food stamps), medical assistance and about 20 other programs.

Market at the Foodbank 2013

The Cleveland Foodbank's Market at the Foodbank event took place on April 14. About 2,000 people were in attendance, sampling food from some of the area's top restaurants and beverage purveyors.

Cleveland Food Trucks Support Harvest for Hunger

On April 5, four trucks visited the Cleveland Foodbank, donating 15 percent of their proceeds to Harvest for Hunger.
Participating food trucks included: Umami Moto, StrEat Mobile Bistro, Fired Up! Taco Truck and Sweet Mobile Cupcakery.

50 Students from Browns Leadership Program Volunteer at Foodbank

About 50 local high school athletes from Northeast Ohio participated in a special NFL High School Player Development Leadership Program on March 29, in partnership with the Cleveland Browns and the National Guard.

Local Mascots Bag Groceries to Help in Fight Against Hunger

Cleveland's most animated and lively personalities - our local team mascots - helped the Foodbank raise money and awareness for the Harvest for Hunger campaign at a March 28 event.
