Help us celebrate the kickoff of the 2013 Harvest for Hunger campaign. This year's honorary co-chairs are City of Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald. Check out our event invite for more information by clicking here.

Food will be collected at all Monsters home games throughout the month of February. To view the Monsters schedule, visit the team website by clicking here.

CSU vs. Green Bay Hoops for Hunger
Wolstein Center

Anyone buying a $15 ticket is asked bring a Super Six item to the game that night to receive $1 off. Check out a list of our Super Six most needed food items by clicking here.

Harvest for Hunger Newspaper Insert
Newspapers across Northeast Ohio

An insert will be placed in newspapers across the region highlighting the many ways to give to the Harvest for Hunger campaign throughout the month of March, including online, through the mail and at participating grocery stores.

Check Out Hunger
Giant Eagle, Dave’s Markets, Heinen’s, Buehler’s (Akron-Canton), and Fisher Foods (Canton).

Customers can make monetary donations of $1, $5 or $10 at the register or bring a can of food to participating supermarkets.

Cleveland Cavaliers Food Drive
Quicken Loans Arena

The Cavs will be collecting donations to support the Cleveland Foodbank at the following home games:  
  • March 12 at 7 p.m. (Cavs vs. Washington Wizards)
  • March 18 at 7 p.m. (Cavs vs. Indiana Pacers)
  • March 20 at 7 p.m. (Cavs vs. Miami Heat)
  • March 27 at 7 p.m. (Cavs vs. Boston Celtics)
  • March 29 at 7:30 p.m. (Cavs vs. Philadelphia 76ers)

Brown Bag Day
At companies and schools all over Northeast Ohio

Individuals are asked to bag their lunch on this day and donate what they have spent on lunch out to Harvest for Hunger. More info is available on the Brown Bag Day page.

Beachwood Place Mall

Check out the structural wonders built by local businesses with cans of food in support of the Cleveland Foodbank. 

 

Thursday, March 28 

Mascot Celebrity Bagging Day
Giant Eagle in Broadview Hts., located at 4343 Royalton Rd.

Cleveland sports mascots will be on hand to bag groceries for Giant Eagle shoppers in Broadview Hts. who donate $5 or $10 to the campaign through the Check Out Hunger initiative.

April 4-7

Lake County Captains Food Drive
Classic Park 

On opening day, April 4, f
ood donations will be collected at ballpark entrances to benefit the Cleveland Foodbank. In addition, 25 percent of 50/50 raffle funds will be donated to the Foodbank. 

On April 5-7, the Lake County Captains will be collecting food at ballpark entrances for the Foodbank.

 

Saturday, April 13

As part of Greek Week, students will build structures out of cans with all food items going to Harvest for Hunger.

Celebrity Bartender Event & Raffle
The Velvet Dog in the Warehouse District

In conjunction with its employee fund raising drive for Harvest for Hunger, KeyBank will host its 7th Annual Hunger Celebrity Bartender Event and Raffle. It's free and open to the public.

Teams of KeyBank executive bartenders will compete to see who can raise the most tips. Attendees will receive complimentary appetizers and special promotions from co-sponsors Bacardi, Budweiser and Grey Goose. Tip and raffle ticket proceeds will be donated to the Foodbank.

 

Friday, April 19
6 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Third Annual Fill the Bus
WKYC-TV studios at 1333 Lakeside Ave.

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will team up with WKYC-TV and Charter One to 'Fill the Bus' with food and cash for Harvest for Hunger.

Folks are encouraged to stop by with cash or food donations from the Cleveland Foodbank's Super Six most needed items. They include tuna fish, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned soup, beef stew and cereal.

Circle Challenge: Wade Oval Walk Against Hunger
Wade Oval

University Circle hosts the Annual Circle Challenge: Wade Oval Walk Against Hunger.  Hundreds gather for a two mile walk around Wade Oval, each donating $10 to Harvest for Hunger.

Carver Financial and Northcoast Shredding team up to offer residents shredding services for monetary or food donations to Harvest for Hunger.
